Widmaier Verlag is a niche publisher for Egyptological books focusing on Egyptian language and literature.

Since 2012 Widmaier Verlag publishes the journal Lingua Aegyptia – Journal of Egyptian Language Studies and the related series Lingua Aegyptia – Studia Monographica.

The publisher recently broadened its range with the Festschrift für Antonio Loprieno.
